As Hurricane Dorian approaches the North Carolina coast, Sampson Regional stands ready to care for those in need.
With the anticipated arrival of hurricane conditions as early as Wednesday, Sampson Regional’s hospital officials take action to protect the safety of patients, visitors, staff, and the community ahead of the storm.
Sampson Regional Medical Center will close all non-emergency entrances at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4th. All visitors will also be requested to leave at that time. Immediate family or caregivers of patients will be allowed entrance.
The following hospital facilities will be closed on Thursday and Friday this week.

Howerton Family Medicine
Outpatient Diagnostics Center
Sampson Medical Group Clinton
Sampson Medical Group Newton Grove
Sampson Surgical Services
Sampson Women’s Center
The Center for Health + Wellness
Individuals experiencing a medical emergency, should call 911 or seek care at the closest emergency department.
It is advised that patients who have appointments scheduled for the beginning of next week call their doctor’s office prior to arrival to confirm the office is operating on normal schedule.
