Sampson Regional Medical Center (SampsonRMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Physician Assistant Leah Graves to the Sampson Professional Services office of Dr. Albert Verrilli. Graves joined the practice of Dr. Albert Verrilli early in January, providing primary care for individuals of Sampson County and surrounding areas.
Graves, a board-certified physician assistant, graduated from the University of Lynchburg in Virginia, earning her bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion with a minor in Biology and a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Medicine. With experience in primary care from a community clinic setting, Graves is excited to apply her skills and knowledge to help both established and new patients of Dr. Verrilli’s practice.
“I have a special interest in infectious disease and specifically Hepatitis C,” stated Graves. By being associated with the Carolina Hepatitis Academic Mentorship Program, she can provide the necessary treatments for patients dealing with this medical condition. Other areas of special interest include orthopedics, cardiology, endocrinology, and dermatology. Helping patients reach their health goals is Graves’ main focus. “I enjoy getting the opportunity to treat a wide variety of medical conditions, which makes each day very fulfilling. Medicine is a strong passion of mine, so I look forward to serving the Sampson County community,” she shared.
Born and raised in New Hampshire, Graves and her husband are happy to call North Carolina home. “Over the years, North Carolina has always been one of our favorite places, so to now call it home is perfect,” added Graves.
Dr. Albert Verrilli’s practice has been a part of the Sampson County community for more than 30 years, offering primary care for all ages in a caring atmosphere. Joining Sampson Regional Medical Center Professional Services in June 2020, Dr. Albert Verrilli brings another choice for primary care to Sampson Regional Medical Center’s umbrella of services.
