At The Center for Health + Wellness we offer lessons and pool activities for all ages and abilities.
Parent & Me—This class is for children ages 6 months-2 years and their parents. Some skills taught in this class include, but are not limited to: water adjustment, holding and supporting techniques, buoyancy on front and back, leg action on front and back, breath control, water safety informaiton.
Preschool—This set of lessons is geared toward children ages 3-5. This class serves as an introduction to the water and teaches basic swimming skills such as blowing bubbles, putting their face in water, floating on front and back, and alternating arm strokes on front and simultaneous arm strokes on back.
Child Beginner—This set of lessons is geared toward children ages 6-12 who cannot swim or can swim for only a small distance by themselves. During the lessons the child will learn basic swimming skills such as submerging and blowing bubbles, kicking on front and back, and swimming on front and back.
Child Advanced—This set of lessons is geared toward children ages 6-12 who are able to swim at least 12.5 yards unassisted. During the lessons, the child will build upon the skills taught in the Child Beginner class and progress to rotary breathing on front crawl, back crawl and treading water. If possible, an introduction to breaststroke and diving will be taught.
Adults & Teens—This set of lessons is geared toward anyone 16 and over who has never learned to swim or who wants to perfect their technique.
Lessons are available in both private and group settings.

TCHW offers a year-round swim team for children ages 5-18. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted before joining the team. For more information on becoming a member of the swim team, speak to the TCHW Aquatics Coordinator.
